Early voting times and locations in Hays County

Early voting is currently underway across Texas and runs through November 1st.

The timing of early voting may change depending on the day and county.

Early voting times in Hays County

  • Monday, Oct. 21 to Friday, Oct. 25 – 9 a.m. to 6 p.m
  • Saturday, October 26th – 7 a.m. to 7 p.m
  • Sunday, October 27th – Noon to 6 p.m
  • Monday, October 28th to November 1st – 7 a.m. to 7 p.m

Do I need ID to vote in Texas?

To vote during early voting or in person on Election Day, Texas voters are asked to provide an acceptable photo ID. Here is a list of acceptable forms of photo ID:

  • Texas driver's license issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)
  • Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPS
  • Texas ID card issued by DPS
  • Texas handgun license issued by DPS
  • United States military ID card containing the person's photo
  • Certificate of United States citizenship with the person's photo
  • United States passport (book or card)

Here is a list of supporting identification documents that may be presented if the voter does not have an acceptable photo ID and cannot reasonably obtain one:

  • Copy or original of a government document identifying the voter's name and address, including the voter's voter registration certificate
  • Copy or original of the current electricity bill
  • Copy or original bank statement
  • Copy or original of government check
  • Copy or original of paycheck
  • A copy or original of (a) a certified domestic birth certificate (from a U.S. state or territory), or (b) a court-admissible birth certificate verifying the voter's identity (including a foreign birth certificate)
