The best quarterbacks out there often watch other quarterbacks who are at their level or higher, hoping to use small parts of their game to make it their own. For Nebraska quarterback Dylan Raiolathere are many options to choose from.

Raiola was asked this week which college quarterbacks he likes to watch the most, and he gave a thoughtful answer that presented a few different options.

The chief among them was Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabrielwho is coming off a big upset from No. 2 Ohio State.

“I mean, Dillon Gabriel is impressive, just what he does with the ball,” Dylan Raiola said. “I’m always there for him. You know, he’s a Polynesian quarterback, so I love watching him succeed.”

Gabriel has proven to be one of the most successful quarterbacks in the country, a dual-threat prospect who has used his legs to keep defenses honest while moving them over the top with his arm.

For Dylan Raiola, it is extremely important to be able to use this skill as a learning resource.

Gabriel has already thrown for 1,790 yards and 13 touchdowns this season with just three interceptions. He also rushed for 103 yards and four scores. Most impressive work.

But there are other college quarterbacks Raiola enjoys watching.

“There are so many great quarterbacks,” he said. “Jalen Milroe, Cam Ward. There is a lot of talent in college football. It’s a lot of fun to watch.”

Both Milroe and Ward have done this repeatedly; Milroe as one of the most dynamic athletes at any position and Ward as a Houdini act at times.
