According to the Miami Dolphins, Tyler Huntley is ruled out from returning due to a right shoulder injury.

The starting quarterback went down about midway through the third quarter after Indianapolis Colts cornerback Kenny Moore II delivered a vicious hit that caused Huntley to land on his shoulder. Huntley walked off the field under his own power, but his right arm appeared a little stiff.

He would soon make his way into the blue medical tent before finally making his way to the locker room. The Dolphins initially considered Huntley questionable before later ruling him out.

Huntley's injury couldn't have come at a bad time; the quarterback seemed to have finally found his rhythm. He had completed about 54% of his passes for 87 yards and touchdowns before being substituted.

With Huntley out, Tim Boyle will take over the offense. Boyle, who was called up from the practice squad to the active roster on Saturday, took the place of injured Skylar Thompson in the 24-3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He completed about 58% of his passes for 73 yards.

Since Tua Tagovailoa's concussion in Week 2, the Dolphins have had a merry-go-round at quarterback. Thompson started against the Seahawks before being sidelined with a rib injury. Boyle took over, but the Dolphins signed Huntley the following week. Huntley started the next three games before exiting Sunday.

However, help appears to be at hand. Tagovailoa plans to resume practice next week and hopes to play on October 28 against the Arizona Cardinals.
