Detroit Lions Amon-Ra St. Brown fined for taunting Dallas Cowboys

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown was fined $11,255 for taunting in the Week 6 win over Dallas after rushing the ball toward a touchdown in the fourth quarter the Cowboys sideline.

St. Brown scored the touchdown early in the fourth quarter and then threw the ball toward the Dallas sideline while running off the field.

The USC product has 31 catches for 289 yards and three touchdowns through the first five games of the season.

Veteran DE was added to the active roster

The Lions announced a number of roster moves ahead of their Week 7 game against the Minnesota Vikings.

For Sunday's game against the Vikings, the Lions decided to sign Isaac Ukwu and tight end Shane Zylstra from the practice squad. The team also signed defensive lineman Pat O'Connor to the active roster.

Ukwu will be promoted for the second time this season while Zylstra will make his debut in 2024. O'Connor was a member of the Lions' practice squad and has seven seasons of NFL experience.

Challenge of playing at US Bank Stadium

Since Dan Campbell took over as head coach, the Lions and Vikings have had a number of close battles. Last season, Campbell won a game for the first time in his coaching career in Minnesota, securing Detroit the NFC North title.

Campbell spoke about the difficulty of playing at US Bank Stadium, citing the toughness of the VIkings and the atmosphere created by the Vikings crowd.

“Yeah, I just know since I've been here, man, it's a battle that goes back and forth, and we just made some bad plays at the worst of times, and they really – it's like I said, the mistakes are one thing, which is when “The mistakes are made and then what it costs you when you make that mistake, I think,” Campbell said. “And so it's no different. “It's a loud environment, as you know they play pretty well at home like most teams do, but I think that's just related to everything else.”

The Lions have experienced talent on their roster who have often dealt with such environments. Therefore, Campbell does not expect noise to play such a large role. To prepare the players, the team also played the Vikings' trademark horn throughout the week.

“We have a pretty experienced team, especially on offense, that hears everything – that's where you really come under fire,” Campbell explained. “The defense is out there, our defense can’t quite get it, but our offense can. But we're a pretty experienced bunch, so I feel like we'll be able to keep our composure, keep our heads on our heads and.” Then it's a matter of being patient. It’s hard to say, but that’s what you have to do.”
