Connie Chung is a legendary news pioneer. But in a recent podcast interview with Fox News host Martha MacCallum, she shared that she's glad to be out of the business.

To The Untold Story with Martha MacCallumChung shared that the current news world has put her in a situation where she struggles with her mental health.

“I am excessively afraid of what is happening in our world, but I am also afraid of the situation in the Middle East and the growing war that seems to be just around the corner,” Chung admitted. “And I fear Russia. I fear Putin so much that I can't sleep, if you want to know the truth.

“And if I were on the news today, I would probably be scared for everything in the world,” Chung continued. “It's such a scary time… I'm obsessed with the news and I wonder, I really wonder, how this is all going to turn out.”

Connie Chung also spoke to the Fox News host about her groundbreaking career. She recently published her autobiography Connie: A memoryin which she described her rise through the ranks of the news media despite being a minority at a time when even white women had difficulty breaking into the industry.
