Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday began with comedian Tony Hinchcliffe of the comedy podcast Kill Tony calling Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage,” among other xenophobic and biased punchlines. The “joke” didn’t seem to resonate with the crowd in attendance.

Hinchcliffe launched into a blatant sexual slur toward Latino immigrants, joking that they should all leave the country.

“These Latinos love having babies too, I just know that. That's what they do. That's what they do. There is no retreat,” he said. “They don't do that. They are coming in, just like they did in our country.”

During the relatively short set, he also addressed racist stereotypes against black people.

HuffPost Reporter Christopher Mathias, one of those in attendance, called it “shockingly racist even for a Trump rally.”

Meanwhile, NPR reporter Danielle Kurtzleben quoted the comedian comparing Travis Kelce to OJ Simpson.

Hinchcliffe said: “The Republicans are the party with a good sense of humor.”

Kill Tony, Hinchcliffe's comedy show with 1.8 million YouTube subscribers, features new and established comedians. Jokes often venture onto the raunchy side, where racist and sexist humor is commonplace.

“I don’t normally make my political beliefs public,” Hinchcliffe said at the rally. “It’s divisive for a comedian to do something like that. But I just know that I’ll sleep well at night because I know who I’m voting for.”

He also joked about carving watermelons with black people and the Gaza-Israel conflict.

“You know the Palestinians will throw stones every time,” he said. “But you also know that Jews find it difficult to throw away this paper.” The crowd laughed and whistled.

“It’s just clear to me who the right candidate is,” Hinchcliffe said. He then called Trump's shot in the ear “the best place to get shot.”
