    Week 9 featured five games pitting AP Top 25 teams against one another, but this time there were no shocking results or epic moments like previous weeks.

    It was all chalk for most of Saturday. No. 12 Notre Dame capitalized on six turnovers by No. 24 Navy in a 51-14 blowout. No. 4 Ohio State and No. 13 Indiana quelled any fears by staying home in Big Ten battles. Then No. 1 Oregon, No. 3 Penn State and No. 5 Texas took care of business later.

    The day's most notable result was No. 14 Texas A&M's 38-23 victory over No. 8 LSU, putting the Aggies at 5-0 in SEC play and alone atop the conference standings.

    Otherwise, Saturday appeared to be a showcase of personal achievements: Ohio State's Jeremiah Smith became the first freshman in 19 years to score a touchdown in each of his first seven games, and Oregon's Dillon Gabriel moved into second place in all-time touchdown passes over.

      The Blue Devils were about to take the lead at SMU, but kicker Todd Pelino just missed a 42-yarder, so it's still 21-21 with just over 5 minutes remaining in the ACC matchup.

      The Buffs regained the lead after a brief challenge from Shedeur Sanders.

      It's 14-7 Colorado.

    • Texas A&M gets another INT!

      Garrett Nussmeier throws his third interception of the second half, this time to Taurean York, and the Aggies are feeling it now.

      They have a lead of 12 and just over 6:31 minutes left.

      Marcel Reed's show continues as he pushes the Aggies all the way down the stretch for another score.

      Le'Veon Moss finished it off with a 3-yard rush.

      But Reed showed off his strong passing skills along the way.

      The teams have traded touchdowns so far in this important battle of the Big 12's top 12 teams.

      Courageous road win in Madison for No. 3 Nittany Lions, who played the entire second half with a backup QB after Drew Allar left with an injury. They'll be 7-0 against Ohio State next week.

      LSU finally curbs Texas A&M's runaway momentum as Garrett Nussmeier caps a 78-yard drive with a touchdown on a 1-yard keeper.

      After the 2-point attempt failed, Texas A&M leads 28-23 with 9:57 to play.

    • Final: Michigan 24, Michigan State 17

      In a duel between two rivals who are both struggling, the Paul Bunyan Trophy remains with Michigan. And of course there was a bit of a scrum at the end of the game. There is no love lost between these teams.

      Marcel Reed scores his third TD of the game on a 3-yard run and the Aggies continue their dominance in the 2nd half.

      It's a 28-17 lead over LSU with 14:07 left to play.

      It's a nice win in a rivalry game for No. 6 Miami, which remains undefeated at 8-0. Florida State falls to 1-7 as this disastrous season continues.

    • Touchdown Penn State!

      Kaytron Allen runs 24 yards for another score after taking the direct snap and that should put a stop to this one.

      Penn State is up 28-13 with 3:10 left to play in Madison.

    • Texas A&M interception!

      Wow, all the momentum is on the Aggies side now. Garrett Nussmeier throws another interception to BJ Mayes down the sideline and A&M has a chance to extend the lead.

      The crowd is raging in College Station.

    • A&M takes the lead!

      The Aggies selected Marcel Reed at quarterback and even though he hasn't attempted a pass yet, he's turned heads.

      He just ran for an 8-yard TD, his second of the game, to give Texas A&M the 21-17 lead over LSU.

    • LSU field goal goes haywire!

      The Tigers prepared for a long field goal, but the snap bounced off the holder, who wasn't ready for it, and the whole thing went nowhere.

      The noise of the crowd may have affected this.

      LSU's lead remains 17-14.
