Clips of Joe Rogan taking on Donald Trump go viral after endorsement

Videos of Joe Rogan opposing Donald Trump and some of the policies he promotes are circulating on social media after the podcast host endorsed the former president.

The host of The Joe Rogan Experiencecurrently Spotify's most popular podcast in the US, declared his support for Trump on Monday evening on X, formerly Twitter. He cited Elon Musk as “the most compelling pro-Trump argument you'll ever hear” and linked to his latest podcast episode with the entrepreneur.

Shortly afterward, podcaster and YouTuber Kyle Kulinski posted a video on

In the clip, first shared on the platform in 2022, Rogan could be heard praising Bernie Sanders and Michelle Obama and calling Barack Obama the “best president we've had in our lifetime.”

He also said, “I have never voted right-wing in my life” and called Trump “dangerous” in reference to the events of January 6, 2021.

Other clips showed Rogan expressing support for a universal basic income, free higher education, reproductive freedom, LGBTQ+ rights, universal healthcare and paying higher taxes.

He also expressed opposition to two of Trump's immigration policies: ending the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival (DACA) policy, which protects people brought to the U.S. illegally as children from deportation, and separating children from theirs Parents at the border.

Kulinski's post went viral, receiving 1.3 million views and 18,000 likes. Progressive commentator Mehdi Hasan was among the thousands who shared the clip, garnering another 500,000 views.

A similar clip was shared by the account @PatriotTakes. It showed a clip from Rogan's July 2022 interview with comedian Tom Segura, in which Rogan called Trump a “man-baby” in response to allegations that his former adviser Jared Kushner devised a system to give Trump bad news, like the one New York Times reported in 2022.

The clip received 323,000 views and over 6,000 likes.

Newsweek emailed Rogan and the Trump campaign after hours for comment.

In his post on

Trump responded to Rogan's endorsement in real time during a campaign rally in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, calling it “big news” and saying “that's so nice” since he “tends to be a little more liberal.”

Trump appeared on Rogan's podcast on October 26th and JD Vance on October 31st. Rogan said he was open to an episode with Kamala Harris, but it fell through when they couldn't agree on the terms of the interview.
