Busch Gardens and Navy Federal celebrate Veterans Day

On this Veterans Day, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is a partnership with Navy Federal Credit Union to honor the men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.

From Friday, November 8, 2024, through Monday, November 11, 2024, the park will host special events to recognize veterans for their service, including a live band and a special recording of the national anthem to accompany the raising of the American Flag along with the flags of all branches of the military.

Honoring those who serve

“We are incredibly proud to partner with Navy Federal Credit Union and extend this offering to veterans by recognizing their unwavering commitment and sacrifice,” said Byron Surrett, Chief Parks Officer, United Parks & Resorts, parent company of Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, in a press release. “We invite both veterans and active military members to create countless memorable experiences with their families here at Busch Gardens.”

Thanks to Navy Federal Credit Union, veterans visiting the park over Veterans Day weekend will also receive special benefits, including priority entry, in-park activations and special pre-show welcome messages at select shows throughout the park.

“It is an absolute honor to serve those who serve and to sponsor an event dedicated to our veterans,” Capt. Keith Hoskins (USN Retired), executive vice president of branch operations at Navy Federal, said in a news release. “This event aligns with our core value at Navy Federal Credit Union of supporting our military members and their families.”

This year, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is also expanding the Military annual pass to include both veterans and active military for a limited time. Previously, the military annual pass offer was only available to active-duty military members. Now, veterans who purchase a military annual pass have unlimited entry with no blackout dates and free parking through the end of 2025.

Veterans and active duty U.S. Armed Forces personnel can purchase a military passport online at WavesOfHonor.com or at selected military bases. Active military members also receive free day admission and reduced admission for their family members.
