Below in this article on “2024 Black Desert Championship Sunday Tee Times: Round 4 Pairings” you will find the 2024 Black Desert Championship Sunday Tee Times: Round 4 Pairings for 69 golfers – however, they are incomplete. One of the biggest players is not listed.

However, it will be there from the opening bell until the final whistle. It won't hit a shot, but will most likely hit golf balls.

We're talking, of course, about the lava rocks that are scattered throughout the Black Desert Resort, and since the course is scenic, you can be sure that they will be remembered by anyone trying to take home the grand prize. They earned screen time in Thursday's first round when Michael Kim hit them twice on the 18th hole before escaping danger. They reappeared during the third round on Saturday when players were forced to give them penalties because their spiked nature made shots impossible. They have been a topic of concern all week.

Patrick Fishburn said before the tournament: “It looks so unique and I'm not sure I've ever played a course with black rock around it and the desert in the background.”

Zac Blair said before the tournament: “I think all the lava rock is just like that and it's not a danger, it's just kind of a lost ball, it's not really like anything else.” So there are certain places you could go and that could be dangerous, or you go to Arizona and come across it in the desert and you can still find it and take it out. You won't find it here most of the time. Especially in the rocks. I think it's very unique, very different. People all see it and learn it for the first time. But there's plenty of room to play out there. It's not like it's super tight everywhere. They gave us a lot of room to hit driver or anything else off the tee. I just need to keep it away from the rocks.”

Nick Taylor said before the tournament: “The lava rock comes into play a little tighter. Basically, I think a lot of people will see the lava rock as a play. I think you'll only be able to endure it being unplayable in very few cases, or I don't think you'll be able to play it very often.”

Harris English said after the second round, “Yeah, it's unlike anything I've ever seen, especially with the black lava rock.”

Kevin Streelman said after the third round: “You can't outdo yourself. These lava rocks are like – you know, it's just the end of the hole when you hit it in there.”

No doubt they will appear again in Sunday's final round, where Matt McCarty will start with the lead and Streelman, English, Jos Highsmith and Stephan Jaeger are tied for second, two shots behind. Sunday's telecast begins at 5 p.m. on Golf Channel.
