Former President Bill Clintonwho was impeached for lying and obstructing an investigation into an extramarital affair he had with a White House intern during his presidency, has been tipped as a Republican Senate candidate Kari Lake “physically attractive” as she campaigned for her opponent in Arizona on Thursday.

Clinton paid Lake the compliment and advocated for the representative's election. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ), the Democratic candidate for Senate in the Grand Canyon State.

“And one of the things we have to do is vote for the man who just introduced me? And I thought, you know, this is like a beautiful microcosm of the campaign that Kamala Harris is running for president,” Clinton began. “You have a person who grew up in sometimes challenging circumstances and who has spent his life competing against someone who is physically attractive but believes politics is a performing art. And where, how JD Vancehe must prostrate himself before the master.”

It's unclear whether Clinton implied that either Trump or Vance was also physically attractive.

Lake, who first emerged as the GOP candidate for governor in 2022, will still lose her race against Gallego by a sound margin Donald Trump is the favorite to win Arizona's votes in the presidential election.

While Clinton was also impeached for his affair Monica Lewinskyhe was not finally convicted by the Senate. He was also accused of sexual harassment Paula Jones and rape Juanita Broaddrick.
