Oklahoma State is 0-5 in the Big 12 and is on a five-game losing streak. This is the Cowboys homecoming game. So you know people will be eager to give their team a much-needed win.

As for Arizona State, a win for the Sun Devils would be their sixth win of the season. Why is this important?

With their sixth win they would become bowl eligible. That would be a major accomplishment for a team picked to finish last in the Big 12 Conference this season and for a team that went 3-9 each of the last two seasons.

Sam Leavitt is expected to return as ASU's quarterback against Oklahoma State after missing the Sun Devils' loss to Cincinnati because of an injury he suffered against Utah.

According to Michelle Gardner of the Arizona Republic, Leavitt appeared ready for warmups at Boone Pickens Stadium.

He has completed 90 of 152 passes this season, including eight touchdown passes and four interceptions. He also completed 55 carries for 279 yards and four touchdowns.

ASU has missed three field goals and two extra points in its last four games. The missed field goals came from 38, 41 and 48 yards.

Will we see Ian Hershey, Carston Kieffer or Parker Lewis as the placekicker against the Cowboys? According to Michelle Gardner of The Arizona Republic, all three were on the field during warmups.
