Will Arizona State lean heavily on its ground game given Sam Leavitt's absence for the Sun Devils in Cincinnati?

Jeff Sims has only attempted two passes this season, so Kenny Dillingham could opt for a run-heavy attack approach that gives Cam Skattebo and the rest of ASU's running backs plenty of carries.

Skattebo has carried the ball 133 times for 773 yards this season. He has eight rushing touchdowns. He was instrumental in the Sun Devils' surprising 5-1 start.

Cincinnati could expect a run-heavy approach from the Sun Devils and risk a lot of defenders to counteract that.

It certainly adds to the fascination of today's game.

ASU fans have been clamoring for Skattebo to get more Heisman attention, and a big performance today would certainly help the running back get that.

Should ASU football's Cam Skattebo be a Heisman contender after the Sun Devils' 5-1 start?

The Sun Devils will have a different QB1 today against the Bearcats.

Jeff Sims.

The former Georgia Tech and Nebraska QB starts in place of Sam Leavitt, who was injured in ASU's upset of Utah last week.

Sims went 1-for-2 for 13 yards, with a 2-yard touchdown run in relief of Leavitt last Friday.

There were mixed opinions on social media about ASU's chances of beating Cincinnati following the QB news for the Sun Devils.
