PHOENIX – ADOT crews will be working Friday through Monday morning on the following closures and restrictions on several highways due to construction this weekend.

On its website, ADOT reported the following areas of work:

• Westbound I-10 is closed between US 60 (Superstition Freeway) and the I-17 “Split” interchange near Sky Harbor Airport from 10:00 p.m. Friday to 4:00 a.m. Monday (October 21). Work suspended on Broadway Curve Improvement Project. The I-10 westbound ramps at Elliot and Baseline streets are also closed. The US 60 westbound ramps at McClintock Drive, Rural Road and Mill Avenue are closed (ramp closures are expected to begin Friday at 8 p.m.).
  • Detours: Motorists may consider using eastbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) or eastbound US 60 to northbound Loop 101 (Price Freeway) before taking Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) in Tempe Use west to reach Sky Harbor Airport or downtown Phoenix. Drivers in the southeast Valley may also consider using Loop 202 (South Mountain Freeway) west/north to bypass the closure and reach I-10 near 59th Avenue in the West Valley.
  • Note: Broadway Road is closed between 48th and 55th Streets (over I-10) and 40th Street is closed at I-10 from 8:00 p.m. Friday to 4:00 a.m. Monday (October 21) blocked. For more information, visit I10BroadwayCurve.com.
• I-17 southbound will be closed between Peoria Avenue and 7th Avenue from 9 p.m. Friday to 2 p.m. Saturday (October 19) due to road sealing. The I-10 ramps to southbound I-17 at the Stack interchange (south of McDowell Road) will be closed.
  • Note: Crews will reopen southbound I-17 in sections as road sealing work progresses Saturday. The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather.
• I-17 northbound will be closed between the I-10 “Split” interchange near Sky Harbor Airport and Peoria Avenue from 9:00 p.m. Saturday to 2:00 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 20) due to road sealing. The northbound I-10 ramps to I-17 at the Stack interchange will be closed.
  • Note: Crews will reopen northbound I-17 in sections as asphalt sealing work progresses Sunday.
• Northbound Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) will be closed between Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Pima Road/Princess Drive from 10:00 p.m. Friday to 5:00 a.m. Monday (October 21) for bridge work. The Northbound Loop 101 ramps at Cactus Road and Raintree Drive are closed.
  • Detour: Traffic will be detoured along the northbound Loop 101 frontage road and rejoin the highway at Pima Road. Consider other alternative routes.
• The 101 eastbound Loop (Agua Fria Freeway) will be closed between 51st Avenue and 19th Avenue from 10 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday, October 21, for work zone creation and asphalt pavement removal. The eastbound Loop 101 ramps at 75th, 67th and 59th Avenues are closed.
  • Detours: Drivers should consider getting out before the closure and using Union Hills Drive or Bell Road eastbound. The freeway traffic exiting 51st Avenue is Beardsley Frontage Road. Expect delays and allow for additional travel time.
• I-17 southbound was narrowed to one lane during most overnight hours between State Route 74/Carefree Highway and Loop 303 from 9:00 p.m. Friday to 9:00 a.m. Saturday (October 19); from 9:00 p.m. Saturday to 9:00 a.m. Sunday (October 20); and from 9 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday (October 21) for road improvements. The I-17 southbound on-ramps at SR 74 and the exit at Dove Valley Road will be closed Friday and Saturday evenings. I-17 southbound exits and on-ramps at Loop 303 will be closed Sunday evening. Allow additional travel time. Northbound I-17 was narrowed to one lane between Happy Valley Road and Loop 303 overnight from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights (October 18-21) to accommodate pavement to improve. Allow additional travel time.
