LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KAIT) – An Arkansas rapper will spend the next 12 years in federal prison after being convicted of multiple crimes.

After a four-day trial, the federal jury found Freddie “Bankroll Freddie” Gladney III on one count of conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute marijuana, one count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime and one count of guilty One count of using a telephone to facilitate a drug trafficking crime.

In addition to the 12-year sentence, U.S. District Judge James Moody Jr. sentenced Gladney to three years of supervised release without parole. Gladney is also expected to pay a $242,000 fine as part of his sentencing.

Back on April 14, 2022, an Arkansas State Police trooper conducted a traffic stop in Marion after observing a speeding truck.

The officer noticed “the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle” and asked Gladney to get out of the vehicle.

As Gladney began to exit the vehicle, he began to get back in and reach for something. Officers then forcibly removed him after he refused to exit the vehicle.

Officers seized two firearms, a so-called “ghost gun.” Additionally, during the search, officers also found a duffel bag containing 21.4 pounds of high-grade marijuana and $33,662, as well as seven extracted and fully loaded magazines.
