The No. 16 Arkansas Razorbacks earned an 85-69 charity exhibition victory over No. 1 Kansas last Friday and face another charity exhibition matchup on Friday at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas TCU.

The contest against the Horned Frogs will not be televised, but will be broadcast on radio via the Learfield Razorback Sports Network with Chuck Barrett and Matt Zimmerman.

“We know how important it is to travel to Dallas,” Arkansas associate head coach Chin Coleman said Wednesday. “A large portion of our alumni live in Dallas to give them the opportunity to see the team. Also, we took the team to Pine Bluff, we took the team to Hot Springs and now we're taking the team to an area where we have a large number of graduates, but for us it's an away game so we're getting into our routine consequences.

“So you will understand what it looks like and what we do. What are our routines? What are our habits, right? So that they can understand the next time we go back to Dallas, when we play Baylor on the road, we have a routine. They know when we eat. You know what time it is. You know what time it is. So we use it as a roadkill experience.

Despite last week's win, first-year head coach John Calipari said his team still has a lot of work to do before the start of the regular season, such as rebounding and ball security, but he likes where his team is at.

“I see it differently than maybe everyone else,” Calipari said after the game. “I'm glad we played like that. Did we seem organized? Did we look like we were really trying to play hard and defend? We've only been together for a short time, so I'm happy because I wanted people to go and say, 'That was fun to watch.'”

TCU is led by Jamie Dixon, who is entering his ninth season with the show. Similar to the Hogs, the Frogs also have a team full of new faces. TCU returns just three players from last year's team in 2024-2025, and the Horned Frogs have lost their top seven scorers.

“A brand new team,” Coleman said. “First of all, they have a brand new team, just like we have a brand new team. They're probably only returning one player, and that's who they – I hope I'm not messing up his name, but he was a transfer from Kansas and everyone else is pretty new to this team.

“They had five fifth-graders that played in the NCAA Tournament last year. So they're new, but again, we're not taking anything for granted about their performance in this first game, right? We’ll be better against us because it’s their second game and besides, they’ve seen us on film, you’re right.”

One name on the TCU roster that won't be new to Arkansas fans: Trazarien White. The Mansfield, Texas, native played last season for North Carolina-Wilmington, which visited Bud Walton Arena on Dec. 30.

In that game, which Arkansas won 106-90, White dropped 28 points on 9 of 20 shooting and grabbed five rebounds. He led UNC-Wilmington in scoring that day, but former Razorback Keyon Menifield Jr. surpassed him with 32 points.

Arkansas and TCU last met in January 2020 in the Big 12/SEC Challenge, a game the Razorbacks won 78-67 at Bud Walton Arena under former head coach Eric Musselman. This game was the first time the two teams met in 28 years. Arkansas hasn't lost to TCU since February 1990.

Overall, the Hogs hold a 105-38 lead over the Frogs, including a 46-21 record against games played at TCU.

The Horned Frogs have appeared in the NCAA Tournament each of the last three years, but have not advanced past the Round of 32 in any of those seasons.

Friday's game will mark just the 14th time Arkansas has played an exhibition game away from Fayetteville and the third time the Razorbacks have played an exhibition game out of state. Proceeds from the game will be donated to the Cook Children's Health Foundation in Fort Worth.
