Arizona Weather Forecast: Low temperatures are forecast with rain coming this weekend

National Weather Service forecasters say people in the Phoenix area could experience wet weather this weekend.

In their forecast, officials at the NWS Phoenix office are predicting high temperatures of 79°F Saturday and some clouds during the day.

Our next system arrived on Saturday. The storm built up over the Pacific Northwest and then moved downward California Coast to Arizona on Saturday.

The system will arrive fully on Sunday morning Arizona with a cold front. This storm may bring rain, mountain snow, gusty winds and cooler temperatures. Currently it looks like the storm will move over northern Arizona – giving the best chance for rain/snow to areas north and east of the valley into higher elevations.

According to the NWS, the chance of rain in Show Low is 71%, showing how widespread this storm could impact our state.

“Forecast rainfall amounts are 0.0 to 0.1 inches for the lower deserts of southern Arizona, 0.05 to 0.2 inches for the foothills and 0.2 to 0.5 inches for the higher terrain north and east of Arizona Phoenix,” part of the forecast reads.

Forecasters also expect dry conditions to return Monday.
