As we examine the damage from Saturday's final games, let's look ahead to the AP Top 25 college football rankings ahead of Week 11

Note: This is not our ranking of the best teams, but our prediction of how the top 25 voters will place them in Sunday's official poll

25. Vanderbilt. A win at Auburn brings the Commodores to a 3-2 mark in SEC play, and while this team is just 10 points away from being undefeated overall, tough games remain, against South Carolina, at LSU and at home against rival Tennessee.

24. Missouri. That shutout loss at Alabama two weeks ago ended Mizzou's remaining playoff chances. Now he has two losses but is still clinging to a spot in the rankings after AP Top 25 voters last week couldn't find any other teams worthy of inclusion in the poll.

23. Pittsburgh. No longer undefeated, the Panthers fell in a critical test at SMU and host Virginia next week before welcoming Clemson the following week.

22. Washington State. Wazzu moved up the rankings last week after edging out San Diego State and benefited from other moves in the poll, but still faces an uphill climb in the playoff hunt, having finished four despite an otherwise impressive 7 One-score games and some leaky defenses denied -1 record.

16. Clemson. That six-game winning streak came to a brutal end at the hands of an upset Louisville, which took a 26-7 lead in the fourth quarter and simply looked like the more motivated team, handing Clemson its first ACC loss and a setback to its conference title hopes.

15. LSU. After their first loss in SEC play, the Tigers had a week off to regroup and adjust as Alabama heads to Death Valley this Saturday, but a total of two losses means none in a crowded College Football Playoff field More room for error.

10.Indiana. After falling behind by 10 on the road against Michigan State, the Hoosiers put up 21 points in the second quarter and didn't allow another point after the first frame. They are now 9-0 and are still neck and neck with Oregon at the top of the Big Ten standings heading into November.

9.BYU. One of many idle teams this week, the Cougars find themselves alone atop the Big 12 standings after Iowa State's loss and looking ahead to a Nov. 9 date at Utah with no other ranked teams left on their schedule stand and there is a clear path to Arlington. and possibly the playoffs.

8. Notre Dame. Coming into Week 10, the Irish were on a six-game winning streak and coming off a record loss to then-undefeated Navy – a performance that will be remembered by the selection committee. They return home next Saturday against Florida State.

7. Tennessee. Big Orange trailed Kentucky 10-7 early in the half behind a more inconsistent offense, but Dylan Sampson ran for two touchdowns and Nico Iamaleava threw a third in the second half to increase the score to 7-1, with Georgia in two It was the turn of weeks.
