Anthony Volpe smashes the grand slam in Game 4 of the World Series

Anthony Volpe just hit the biggest home run of his life.

Volpe, with the bases loaded in the third inning, sent a screaming liner into the left field stands to give the Yankees a 5-2 lead with a grand slam that sent Yankee Stadium into a frenzy in World Series Game 4 on Tuesday night offset.

When he crossed the plate and entered the Yankees' dugout, he received a hero's welcome.

The big home run changed the course of the game as the Yankees took their first lead of the night – and first in the series since the 10th inning of Game 1 – and revitalized a Yankee Stadium that had become somewhat dormant after the Dodgers' lead Freddie Freeman's home run in the first inning.
