Angel Reese recently shared that her WNBA salary isn't enough to cover her rent.

During an Instagram Live session after attending the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in New York City, the Chicago Sky striker opened up about her financial situation.

In clips shared by multiple blogs, the 22-year-old said: “Hate pays my bills, baby. I just hope you know that the WNBA doesn't pay my bills at all. I don't even think it can pay any of my bills. Literally, I'm trying to think about my rent for where I live (in Chicago). I'll do the math real quick. I don’t even know my (WNBA) salary.”

After doing the math, Reese exclaimed, “Yo, I'm living beyond my means!” Then she turned to someone nearby and clarified, “No, my rent is actually more than that.” It's $8,000 . I'm living beyond my means.” She added, “Babe, if y'all thought… I couldn't even afford a sandwich with (the WNBA salary). I couldn’t even live.”

The clip sparked mixed reactions Reactions online, with some suggesting she may be overspending. One user commented: “8k for rent?! I don't care how much I earn. There is no such luxury in the world.”

Another wrote: “I like Angel Reese, but she might want to keep track of what she spends her money on or get a better financial advisor. The $8,000 rent alone is just ridiculous, look at a house.”

It is reported that Reese's WNBA salary for the 2024 season is $73,439.
