Amazon is hiring for 3,000 seasonal jobs, full-time and part-time, in the Kansas City area

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – As the holiday season approaches and hundreds of thousands of packages are shipped as gifts across the country, one major company is looking for help to make the process easier.

Amazon announced Thursday morning that it will fill 3,000 positions in the Kansas City area. It's part of an effort to fill 250,000 jobs nationwide.

The company said all seasonal employees earn at least $18 an hour on their first day of employment and have access to benefits such as health insurance.

Seasonal workers who stay at Amazon can see an average salary increase of 15% in the first three years. The company said in a statement that about a third of its seasonal employees stay year after year.

Amazon announced that it is offering anytime access to earned pay, health, vision and dental insurance starting on the first day of work, a 401(k) with company match, up to 20 weeks of paid maternity/parental leave for birth parents, etc., among other benefits Amazon Prime employee discount.
