    Alabama football loses to Tennessee: The college football world reacts

    Regardless of his team's performance, Kalen DeBoer has been under more scrutiny than any other coach in college football this season after accepting the thankless (albeit high-paying) job of succeeding Nick Saban as Alabama's coach.

    Seven games into the Crimson Tide season, things aren't going particularly well.

    Alabama fell to 5-2 with a 24-17 loss to SEC rival Tennessee at Neyland Stadium on Saturday of the season, a game in which the Crimson Tide failed to score on any of its final four drives.

    Much of the criticism of Alabama was directed not only at the players but also at the sideline, particularly regarding the manner in which they lost. The Crimson Tide were sloppy, committing 15 penalties for 115 yards and making several questionable decisions, including scoring on fourth-and-22 from their own 18-yard line with less than two minutes remaining.

    Most importantly, Alabama suffered its second loss of the season in just the seventh game, the first since 2007, when Saban was at the helm of a rebuilding program for the first time.
