The lawsuit quotes Hamilton Daly as saying that Chabert “is getting older and we need to find someone like her to replace her as she gets older.”

Hamilton is said to have said to Robinson Peete: “Nobody wants her because she’s too expensive and she’s getting too old.” She can’t play any more leading roles.”

Perry, 79, claims she was fired in April after working for Hallmark Channel for nine years and that she received a strong performance review two months earlier.

“We need to get someone who knows more young talent,” Hamilton Daly is quoted as saying in the lawsuit. “Our leading actresses are getting older.”
