Aaron Boone's priceless reaction to Giancarlo Stanton's historic home run in the World Series

Yankees manager Aaron Boone knew Giancarlo Stanton's hit was dead when he heard the crack of the bat.

Boone was live on the air and being interviewed by the Fox broadcast when Stanton was at the plate and sent a screamer 385 feet to right field to give the Yankees a 5-0 lead in the third inning of Game 5 of the World Series in the Bronx to take the lead.

“Good bats last night…. BANG!” Boone said mid-sentence as he watched the Stanton explosion.

The Fox broadcast quickly cut away from the shared screenshot and showed the full view of Stanton's home run and his trot around the bases.

Boone watched from the Yankees' dugout as Stanton headed home.

The solo hit was Stanton's seventh home run of the postseason, making it the largest hit by a Yankee in a single postseason in franchise history.

Stanton has 18 career postseason home runs, tying him with Mickey Mantle for the third-most playoff home runs in team history.
