    A freeze warning is in effect for Summit County Thursday morning

    There will be a frosty night or two.

    The National Weather Service says frost and even frost are possible across much of northern Ohio early Thursday morning.

    A freeze advisory is in effect for all Summit and Stark counties from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. Thursday, with temperatures expected to drop to 33 degrees.

    A freeze warning is in effect from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. in Medina, Wayne and Ashland counties, where overnight lows of 31 degrees are expected.

    The weather service warns that such low temperatures could kill crops and other sensitive plants and even damage pipes.

    “Take steps now to protect sensitive plants from the cold,” the weather service says.

    Another cool night is expected Thursday into Friday morning.

    It's expected to become drier and warmer over the weekend, with highs expected to be in the 70s.

    What is the prognosis?

    Wednesday evening: Showers are possible, mainly before 8 p.m. Mostly cloudy, low around 37°C. Light northwest wind. The chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall totals of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

    Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 57. Calm wind blowing northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.

    Thursday evening: Patchy frost after 5am. Otherwise mostly clear, with low temperatures around 34 degrees. Calm wind.

    Friday: Light frost before 9 a.m. Otherwise sunny with a high around 65°C. Calm wind.

    Friday evening: Mostly clear, with a low around 37.

    Saturday: There will be sporadic frost between 7 and 8 a.m. Otherwise sunny with a high around 70°.

    Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 71.

    Sunday evening: Sure, with a low of around 43.

    Monday: Sunny, with a high near 73.

    Monday evening: Mostly clear, with a low around 47.

    Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 73.
