A foggy Friday morning, a bright and mild afternoon

Dense low clouds moved back on Thursday evening and will cause visibility problems on Friday morning. A dense fog warning is in effect until 9 a.m. for south-facing beaches throughout Ventura County. Be sure to drive carefully when exiting the door! The sun will appear for the first time around midday and a clear and slightly cooler afternoon is expected. Temperatures will warm into the 60s and 70s on the beaches and into the 80s inland. Overnight lows will cool into the 50s and 60s. There will be a light evening breeze and areas prone to wind will be quite stormy.

More marine clouds move in on Saturday and remain on the beaches until lunch. Visibility will be an issue for most. In areas prone to fog, visibility is only a quarter mile or less. The sky will clear slowly, but the sun will dominate towards evening. The temperatures are cooling down a bit, it will be a great afternoon for a beach bike ride.

It will be a cool and cloudy Sunday as low pressure prevails across the Pacific Northwest. Temperatures will drop by 3-5 degrees and there will be clouds for most of the day. A cold front is moving through the state of California, leaving behind gusty winds and unsettled air. We can rule out the possibility of a light shower, but rainfall will be minimal. The wind behind this system increases and can blow around Halloween decorations or patio furniture. The strong gusts will ease on Tuesday and the fall weather will continue into next week.
