    Texas Longhorns WR Johntay Cook II is no longer with the program, per report

    Texas Longhorns wide receiver Johntay Cook II is no longer with the program, ESPN reported Thursday morning.

    In his second season at Texas, Cook had eight catches for 137 yards and two touchdowns.

    Cook was a five-star recruit coming out of DeSoto. During his senior season in 2022, he had 84 catches for 1,478 yards and 22 touchdowns and was The Dallas Morning News All-Area Offensive Player of the Year. Cook was also part of the DeSoto state championship team and was an All-American that season.
