Rumors about the Home Alone sequel starring Macaulay Culkin are causing a stir on social media

Rumors of a new Home Alone sequel titled “Cabin Alone” featuring Macaulay Culkin reprising his iconic role as Kevin McCallister have sparked a lot of interest on social media. Fans were thrilled when a picture surfaced online on November 3 showing Culkin on screen with his mother Catherine O'Hara, with a caption hinting at the premiere of a new film on Disney+ in December. The caption reads: “Kevin McCallister and his mother arrive early at their family's remote cabin, only to learn that the rest of the family's flight is delayed. When Marv and Harry set their sights on the supposedly empty cabin, Kevin and his mother band together to defend it in the ultimate showdown.

Despite the excitement, many fans were quick to express their skepticism about the authenticity of the image. Commenters on the post noted that it appeared to have been digitally altered, with one Facebook user noting: “The number of people falling for this is astounding,” while another noted: “Um. This is what it looks like photoshopped.” This suspicion was confirmed when the image was traced to a Facebook page titled “YODA BBY ABY,” which specifically states that it publishes satirical and fictional content.

This post follows Culkin's own announcement in September of a special US tour titled “Home Alone: A Nostalgic Night,” as The Sun reported. Culkin will reportedly visit various cities and screen the original Home Alone film, initially in states like Ohio and Illinois. While some fans eagerly expressed their hopes for an actual sequel, the satirical intent of the social media post largely dismissed these speculations.
