3 ways the Broncos can bounce back from a devastating blowout loss to the Ravens

The Denver Broncos' 31 point defeat against the Baltimore Ravens was a hard blow. Broncos Sean Payton talked about how badly his team was beaten on Sunday. ')

“They beat us in all three phases,” Payton said Sunday. “We didn’t train enough. We lost to a good football team and that’s disappointing.”

As demoralizing as losses can be, they also provide an opportunity for growth and redemption. Denver can bounce back stronger from this lopsided loss and provide hope for the future.

Let's break down how the Broncos can bounce back from this loss.

It's hard to find a silver lining in a loss, but if that's what you're looking for, it's Sutton. He was able to put in a good performance, making seven catches for 122 yards and even throwing a touchdown to Bo Nix.

Unfortunately, none of Sutton's receptions reached the end zone. Still, it was nice to see Sutton perform well in back-to-back games after keeping a clean sheet in Denver's Week 7 win against them New Orleans Saints.

Look for Nix to continue leaning on Sutton in the passing game as he progresses in his rookie season. Sutton has shown that he can be a playmaker if you just throw him the ball, especially in the red zone, as he seems to win every 50/50 matchup and is a master of toe drag.

Although the Broncos have given up 41 points, their defense is still considered the league's top, having held six of their first eight opponents to 20 points or fewer. The Broncos can't let a loss derail their season and lose the confidence that is so strong on defense.

The Broncos need to turn the page quickly and adopt the mindset espoused by the popular Ted Lasso: “Be a goldfish,” illustrating the importance of a short memory. It is important for a team to correct mistakes quickly so that they can focus on the next game without distraction or regret.

While the Broncos and Ravens had the same record entering the game, the teams are at completely different levels. The Broncos are a young, hungry team that is having success and building their identity along the way.

On the other hand, the Ravens are an established team with a two-time MVP under center and a borderline Hall of Fame running back in Derrick Henry, whom they brought in this offseason to complement their star quarterback.

Still, the Broncos seemed to hold up well in the first two quarters. Unfortunately, in the final minute of the first half in Baltimore, the Broncos let their guard down, allowing Zay Flowers to rush into the end zone with a 53-yard reception with just 27 seconds left.

The Ravens then took a commanding lead with two touchdowns and never looked back. It is now up to Denver to learn from this experience in order to eliminate these unforgivable mistakes in the future.
