The governor's race is the most important race in North Carolina this year. republican Mark Robinsonthe state's embattled lieutenant governor, faces Democrat Josh Stein, who serves as the state's attorney general. The winner of this race could help determine control of the House of Representatives.

CBS News rates the North Carolina presidential race as a toss-up current estimates It shows Trump leading Harris by 2 percentage points, which is within the margin of error. Other polls conducted in recent weeks show Trump with a similar lead.
