Megyn Kelly stands up for Trump at campaign rally and reveals why she's voting for the former president

Megyn Kelly appeared at Donald Trump's campaign rally in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on Monday and told the crowd that she supports the Republican former president because of Democrats' handling of illegal immigration and transgender policies.

Kelly listed cases of illegal migrants accused of killing young Americans such as 22-year-old Georgia college student Laken Riley and 12-year-old Texan Jocelyn Nungaray, and accused Vice President Kamala Harris of “voluntarily” opening the southern border .

The popular podcaster, who hosts “The Megyn Kelly Show,” also mentioned a high school volleyball player from North Carolina who suffered serious injuries when a transgender girl threw a ball at her during a game in September 2022. She also attacked Democrats who support trans women and girls who go into girls' locker rooms and bathrooms during the fiery speech.

“He was ridiculed by the left because he said he would be a protector of women. He will be a protector of women and that's why I'm voting for him,” Kelly said with Trump. 78, at her side.

“He's going to close the border, he's going to keep the boys out of girls' sports and where they don't belong, and you know what else, he's going to take care of our boys too. Our forgotten boys and our forgotten men.”

She said men with blue-collar jobs “with beards and tattoos” don't want to be judged by Harris-supporting celebrities like Oprah and Beyoncé, “who will never have to face the consequences of her disastrous economic policies.”

“President Trump gets it,” Kelly said. “He won’t view our boys as second-class citizens.”

“And ladies out there who want a little girl power in this election, let me tell you something: How can you win when the sons, husbands and brothers you love lose,” she added.

She also took a look at the Democrats' “version of masculinity” and the marriage between Harris and her husband Doug Emhoff, who this campaign season has faced allegations that he once hit an ex-girlfriend in 2012 when the two were attending an event in Cannes film festival in France left.

“I don't recall a single member of the media, not one sitting with him, asking him about the abuse allegations against him,” Kelly said.

A spokesman for Emhoff told Semafor last month that the report, which appeared in the Daily Mail, was “untrue.”

“I’m not into their version of toxic masculinity or new masculinity,” Kelly said of liberals. “I prefer the old version and I prefer a president who knows how to be strong and fight.”

Kelly, who said she voted for Trump last week, had a complicated relationship with the bombastic businessman dating back to his first run for the White House.

Trump blasted Kelly in 2015 after the former Fox News host asked him tough questions during a GOP debate.

During her speech Monday, she also took a swipe at Mavericks owner and billionaire Mark Cuban, who is under pressure from the Republican Party for claiming Trump doesn't surround himself with “strong, intelligent women.”
