A few snow showers for Election Day – LocalNews8.com

Kind of an interesting Sunday with a mix of clouds and sunshine. We have another storm predicted before we have several days of clear skies.

Partly cloudy skies and cold tonight. Although there will be one or two lingering snow showers, most people will be on the clearer side of things, meaning temperatures will drop significantly. Expect overnight lows in the teens and low 20s.

Monday a little sunnier than the previous days. Expect partly cloudy skies and beautiful sunshine. Daytime highs will remain cool, with most of us only peaking in the 40s. We'll see more clouds and maybe a few showers in the early evening, but most of us will have to wait until…

Tuesday, our next stormy day. A cold front moving through early this morning will bring rain/snow showers across the region. Especially in the morning, voters should bring a good jacket, gloves and scarves to keep warm while waiting in line. Daily highs will peak in the 30s, with only a few spots in the lower Snake River Plain reaching the 40s. We will see some clearing by late afternoon, but lingering mountain snow showers are likely.

The rest of the forecast is much clearer, but cooler. A lack of clouds overnight means nighttime temperatures will be downright cold, with lows in the teens for the Snake River plain and in the single digits for higher mountain valleys. Daytime highs won't be too cold, but generally we'll reach highs in the 30s and 40s. We will maintain this clearer pattern until about next Sunday when there is a chance for further rain/snow showers.
