Revealed – When Canada and Albania stars target a return to Inter Milan amid looming clashes between Arsenal and Napoli

Tajon Buchanan is aiming for his first minutes of the season for Inter Milan against Venezia, while Kristjan Asllani is expected to return against Arsenal or Napoli.

This emerges from today's print edition of the Milan newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews. They report on the duo's return to the pitch after an injury.

Inter have struggled with a number of injury problems in recent weeks.

The best known were midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu and defender Francesco Acerbi.

Then full-back Carlos Augusto suffered a thigh problem in Inter's Champions League win against Young Boys.

However, these weren't the only players out.

Full-back Tajon Buchanan is fit again.

It was hardly noticeable to see the Canadian on the injured list. He has missed the entire season so far as he recovers from a broken leg he suffered in the summer.

And Kristjan Asllani was nominally fit. But Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has decided not to risk playing minutes for the Albania international, who is currently recovering from a knee injury.

In the case of Buchanan, the 25-year-old has been getting closer and closer to a return for several weeks.

Buchanan was even in the matchday squad against Empoli on Wednesday.

This came after Buchanan made the long-awaited return to training.

However, the Canadian international did not play a single minute against Empoli.

However, that could change tonight in the Serie A clash against Venezia. Inzaghi is ready to give Buchanan his first appearance of the season as the former Club Brugge player gets back up to speed.

Meanwhile, midfielder Asllani will miss tonight's game.

Especially with the return of Hakan Calhanoglu, there is little reason to take any risks with the 22-year-old's fitness.

However, according to Gazzetta, Asllani is expected to be ready to feature against either Arsenal in the Champions League or Napoli in the series next week.
