“Starboy” is back at the start…

Former two-time Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) flyweight champion Brandon Moreno scored an impressive win at UFC Edmonton last night (Sat., Nov. 2, 2024) as he defeated the No. 3 ranked player Amir Albazi for five rounds to score a dominant unanimous decision win.

Hot on the heels of Moreno's stunning victory in which he outpointed the former UFC flyweight king Demetrious Johnsons record (1,059) for most significant strikes landed in the UFC flyweight class, a 125-pound bad boy Manel Kape praised Moreno for a good fight, but warned him that he would make him do the chicken dance.

“I would like to see Moreno standing in front of me like that; I would let him do the chicken dance,” Kape wrote on Twitter. “But we have to give the credits, good performances.”

Kape faced anger on social media following his tweet.

A fight between Kape and Moreno would be great, but unfortunately “Starboy” can't win the “big fight” to push him to No. 1 contender status. He lost his last fight against Muhammad Mokaev by unanimous decision.

Kape will have a chance to get back in the win column on the final UFC card of the year in Tampa, FL against Bruno Silva.
