Texas A&M Aggies RB Le'Veon Moss injured against South Carolina

It's hard to imagine a worse start for the Texas A&M Aggies.

The Aggies are already two points behind on the road against the South Carolina Gamecocks and are now struggling with an injury to star running back Le'Veon Moss. The junior took a shallow 20-yard route for A&M's first big play of the night, but unfortunately took a big low blow and lay down for a few minutes. Trainers helped him to the medical tent and he did not put any weight on his right leg.

According to head coach Mike Elko, Moss will be out for the remainder of the game.

A native of Walker, Louisiana, Moss has been the centerpiece of the Aggies' offense this season. He rushed for 757 yards and 10 touchdowns in eight games, leading the SEC's second-best rushing attack. He also rushed for 121 yards as a receiver.

Moss' departure is a major blow to the Aggies' offense. Amari Daniels, who has 383 rushing yards and five touchdowns this season, is a capable back, but the 1-2 punch is what makes the offense so effective (pun intended).

Trailing the Gamecocks 14-3 late in the first quarter, the Aggies need to wake up to maintain their seven-game winning streak.
