The No. 10 Texas A&M Aggies travel to Columbia for their third SEC road trip of the 2024 season to face the South Carolina Gamecocks in A&M's first game as the only undefeated team against SEC competition this season.

The Aggies got off to a slow start last week against the LSU Tigers, trailing 17-7 at halftime before Mike Elko benched Conner Weigman to replace Marcel Reed, and the rest was history.

Reed completed a hat trick of rushing touchdowns and Le'Veon Moss scored two more as the Aggies scored 31 second-half points en route to a 38-23 win over the Tigers for their seventh straight win of the season.

Many are curious to see whether Mike Elko Weigman will still start tonight or whether he will make the full transition to Reed. Worst case scenario is that Weigman plays a half and Reed plays a half, similar to last week.

Texas A&M's may have a 9-1 record against the Gamecocks since joining the SEC, but that team has started to gain momentum lately, from the near-loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa three weeks ago to to a win over Norman and a loss Oklahoma Sooners got out of the water last week, head coach Shane Beamer seems to have his team on track lately, and it couldn't have come at a better time.

Will the Aggies remain undefeated against their SEC opponents after 60 minutes in Columbia? Or is this really the “trap game” that many believe will haunt Texas A&M?
