Kyron Drones injury update: Official decision made on Virginia Tech QB vs. Syracuse

Virginia Tech will have to do without his starting quarterback in Saturday's game against him Syracuse. Kyron drones will miss the game, according to David Cunningham.

He announced the news on Twitter just before kickoff on Saturday morning.

“QB Kyron Drones is OUT today according to Virginia Tech. “Playing time decision on RB Bhayshul Tuten,” Cunningham wrote.

If the Kyron drones are out, backup Collin Schlee got the start at quarterback for the Hokies.

What Bhayshul tootsHe dressed for the game, but it doesn't seem like he's playing either. Tuten was not part of Virginia Tech's first drive.

Kyron Drones has his left foot in a walking boot on the sideline, according to Andy Bitter.

Before the game, Virginia Tech head coach Brent Pry said Bhayshul Tuten would likely be in the mix for the match. Apparently he couldn't leave in the end.

“I think Bhayshul is likely at the moment. Again, I won't know much more between now and tomorrow to feel better. He's tough. I think we all know that. It was a decent injury that you – we – are obviously concerned about. But I'm kind of like (Jaylin Lane), not in a dramatic sense like Bhayshul, but that he's tough and if he has the opportunity to play, he'll do it.”

Tuten left the game against Georgia Tech with an apparent ankle injury. He was later seen wearing a walking boot, leading to concerns about whether or not he would be able to play for Virginia Tech this week.

This season, Tuten has had tremendous success for Virginia Tech, rushing for 951 yards and 12 touchdowns in eight games this season. He also has 18 receptions for 56 yards and two touchdowns. After his four-touchdown game against Boston CollegePry praised him after the game, saying, “He's a dog” about Tuten's performance.
