Both Northwestern and Purdue will likely watch bowl games from the sidelines this holiday season. Neither team has much work to do to win standings or bowl games. You could argue more for the Cats, but after their collapse since beating Maryland, they would need to finish the season with a win in three of their last four games. Purdue's main reason for attending this home game is head coach Ryan Walters' job security. A winless season in the Big Ten could confirm the rumors of Walters being fired. This could be Purdue's last chance to get a conference win, with Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan State and Indiana up next. With Card back under center, I want the Boilermakers to come out inspired and get a win for their coach.
