For the Celtics, there was no update on the two teams' games the night before, but the latest report is that big star Kristaps Porzingis remains on the injured list as a replacement for this game while he recovers from an injury that has been affecting the NBA final in 2024. Sam Hauser, who suffers from back pain, is considered likely. Al Horford, who missed the previous contest due to a layoff, is likely to play.

The Hornets had Mark Williams (tendon/foot) and DaQuan Jeffries (hand) out, while Brandon Miller (left glute strain) was questionable.
