DULUTH – It's not the famous weather event that northerners often talk about, but 33 years after the Halloween blizzard, parts of the northern country got their first taste of the winter of the 2024-2025 season on the day many went trick-or-treating -go tour -treat.

The National Weather Service in Duluth predicted snowfall amounts ranging from 1 to 4 inches for Twin Ports, North Shore, the Interstate 35 corridor and northwestern Wisconsin.
