Macaulay Culkin's Joe Burrow Halloween costume is a touchdown

Macaulay Culkin honored his NFL lookalike Joe Burrow by dressing up as him for Halloween.

The 44-year-old Home Alone franchise star proudly shared pictures of himself as quarterback of the Cincinnati Bengals on Instagram on October 31.

“Play on @joeyb_9,” he captioned the shots.

Some fans have pointed out the similarity between Culkin and Burrow. When the 2022 quarterback was asked who should play him in a movie, he replied that he had heard of the comparison, according to a tweet from ESPN reporter Ben Baby.

Culkin is taking those comments in stride this Halloween, and after tagging Burrow's Instagram account in his caption, he also caught the quarterback's attention.

“Touché, Sir Touché,” Burrow commented alongside the actor's pictures.

Culkin responded to Burrow's comment and appeared to challenge him to dress up like him or perhaps one of his movie characters. “The ball is in your court, Joey B,” Culkin teased.

Burrow also shared a photo of Culkin's costume on his Instagram Story and wrote, “Touché alleged doppelganger.”

Bengals fans also responded to Culkin's post and seemed to give his costume two thumbs up.

“You, my friend, have understood the task! I’m from everyone in Cincinnati!” one wrote.

“Why did you post a photo of Joe Burrow?” joked another.

“As a Cincinnati Bengals fan, this is exactly what we needed, let's go baby,” someone else remarked.

Several fans suggested that Burrow should honor Culkin by dressing up as his Home Alone character.

“@joeyb_9 must be Kevin McCallister now!” wrote one, adding an emoji of a zombie slapping its cheeks.

The Bengals' official Instagram account also chimed in, commenting on the team's chant: “Who dey.”

Meanwhile, Culkin's wife Brenda Song took the opportunity to show her support for her team, the Los Angeles Rams, who defeated the Bengals in the 2022 NFL Championship Game.

“Hey, remember Super Bowl LVI?!?” Song commented.
