The Dodgers defeated the Yankees in the first “Dream Match” in three years.

The Dodgers won 6-3 at Dodger Stadium on the 26th (Korean time), 2-2 thanks to Freddie Freeman's come-from-behind grand slam in the bottom of the 10th inning of overtime.

In the best-of-seven postseason series in history, the team that won the first game won the series 125 out of 193 times, with a probability of 64.8%. Additionally, the team that won Game 1 at home in the 2-3-2 postseason series went 68 of 101, or 67.3%, to win the series. The Yankees' historical probability of winning the World Series is about 65%.

The good pitching of both teams' starting pitchers dominated until the middle. Dodgers starter Jack Fleherty allowed five hits, one walk, six strikeouts and two runs in five ⅓ innings, and Yankees starter Gerrit Cole allowed four hits, four strikeouts and one run in six innings.

The Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani hit a double in the eighth inning after being hitless, but was left with a foul fly in the tenth inning of overtime. One hit and one run off five hits. The game, which had been a close match between the team's two starters until the fourth inning, changed dramatically when the score exploded past the middle.

Stanton's 6th home run of the postseason with an angle of 35 degrees, a bat speed of 116.6 miles and a distance of 412 feet.

The Dodgers staged a fierce comeback in the second half of the game, but were barely able to make up the score. In the bottom of the sixth inning, Edman hit a double down the right field line to gain scoring position. Ohtani's ground ball to shortstop made it to third base with one out. However, Betts' batted ball caught third baseman Chizom Jr. and Freeman hit a fly ball to right field to end the inning.

In the bottom of the seventh inning, trailing 2-1, Teosca Cole hit hard, retired, and Max Muncy got on base after being hit by changed pitcher Clay Holmes' ball, but after Kike After making a sacrifice, he went in in front of the catcher, Kike hit a fly ball to shortstop and Gavin Lux hit a ground ball to first base without scoring again.
