Videos of President Joe Biden playfully biting several costumed babies at the White House Halloween party have gone viral on social media.

The Halloween event transformed the South Lawn of the White House into a vibrant setting with decorations and activities for families, local students and children of military families.

Photographers and videographers captured moments as Biden leaned over to interact with the children, including playfully biting the leg of a baby dressed as a turkey.

The president also put the toe of a child in an ice cream cone costume in the mouth and nibbled on a third baby wearing a blue dress.

Newsweek emailed the White House seeking comment.

The scenes sparked sharp reactions from conservative influencers on social media, questioning their appropriateness.

Conservative commentator Benny Johnson, who the Justice Department recently alleged was unwittingly paid by Russian state media to produce pro-Kremlin content, reposted an image of Biden biting the baby in the turkey suit.

“Apparently Joe Biden is biting babies in the White House tonight,” he wrote. His post had been viewed 740,000 times as of Thursday morning.

Johnson has strenuously denied any wrongdoing regarding the alleged Kremlin-sympathetic content and described himself as a “victim” of the alleged Moscow-backed plan.

Jenna Ellis, a suspended lawyer who formerly worked for Donald Trump and pleaded guilty to “supporting false statements” in an attempt to overturn Joe Biden's victory in Georgia in 2020, published an article on X in which Biden bites a baby and writes: “How is this real?”
