Martha Stewart has been to one of these lately. Spill tea The New Yorker about what happened to her and Ina Garten. Then she redoubled her memory of the events WWHL. Now give a scathing review of Marthathe new Netflix documentary about her, to New York Just. Per NYT, Stewart ranted for “about 30 almost non-stop minutes” about what she didn't like about RJ Cutler's approach to her life. “RJ had full access and really used very little,” she said. “It was easy shocking.” Things she took issue with included music choices, the portrayal of her present-day role as a frail old woman, and the overemphasis on her insider trading trial and prison sentence in 2004. “It wasn't that important. The trial and actual imprisonment took less than two years of an 83-year-old life. To be honest, I looked at it as a vacation,” Stewart said. “The process itself was extremely boring. Even the judge fell asleep. RJ didn't even bring that up. The judge does sleeps on the bench. I wrote it in my diary every day.”

Perhaps we can forgive someone who fixates on this process. It Is This is the main thought many people have when they think of Martha Stewart. But the other big thing – her friendship with Snoop Dogg – was given short shrift in the soundtrack. “I said to RJ, 'A big part of the movie is that you play rap music,'” she said. “Dr. Dre will probably make it, or Snoop or Fredwreck. I said, “I want this music.” And then he comes up with some lousy classical score that has nothing to do with me.” There's a Snoop song in the credits, but that's not enough for Martha!

Stewart also criticized the way Cutler filmed her. “He had three cameras pointed at me. And he chooses the ugliest angle,” Stewart said. “And I told him, ‘Don’t use that angle! That's not the prettiest angle. They had three cameras. Use the other angle.' He wouldn't change that.” She also objected to the final scene where Stewart hobbles in her yard. It turns out she had just had surgery on her Achilles tendon. “Those last scenes where I look like a lonely old lady walking hunched over in the garden? Boy, I told him to get rid of those. And he refused,” she said. “I hate these last scenes. Hate her.” But otherwise a pretty cool movie.
