Sanatan Dharma: Yogi Adityanath Declares Sanatan Dharma as the Guiding Light of Humanity | Lucknow News

Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said this on Wednesday Sanatan Dharma was the world's oldest religion that served as a guide for humanity.
“Sanatan Dharma promotes the well-being of all and any attempt to attack this system is like an invitation to one's own destruction. It is the oldest religion in the world which is a guide for humanity,” the CM said after lighting lamps at Ram Ki Paidi Ayodhya on Wednesday.
Deepotsav The light show not only strengthens social and national unity, but also symbolizes national solidarity. This event transcends a religious tradition; It is a message that unites and shows society India's cultural significance to the world,” he said.
“Some individuals in the society are trying to spread negativity and division for political reasons and are questioning the social unity for their own interests,” the CM said, comparing them to Ravan and his Treta Yug followers.
He mentioned the stories of Ravana, Marichh, Meghnad and Kumbhkaran to show that they all supported injustice and ultimately faced destruction. “This year's Deepotsav serves as a reminder that it is our duty to promote truth, justice and righteousness, just as injustice was defeated in the Treta Yuga,” he said.
“The festival represents the preservation of India’s timeless religious values, a responsibility shared by all Indians, not just the people of Ayodhya. The aim of this event is to give a new identity to the city of Lord Shri Ram on the global stage,” he said.
“Deepotsav is more than just a festival to dispel darkness. It serves as a means to eradicate the darkness of injustice, ignorance and tyranny. This event in Ayodhya sends a powerful message to the society. This festival of lights not only illuminates but also stands against any efforts towards injustice and division,” he added.
