Jimmy John's is swapping pickles for bread with its new “Picklewich.”

Jimmy John's has released a new sandwich that features giant slices of cucumber instead of bread.

On October 24, the popular sandwich shop introduced the newest, limited-time item to its menu: The Picklewich. However, unlike the brand's usual sandwiches, this meal has all its ingredients sandwiched between two halves of a kosher dill pickle.

According to a press release, the picklewich comes in two different versions. One choice is The Vito Picklewich, which includes salami and capocollo, topped with provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, oil and vinegar, and oregano basil.

The second choice is The Turkey Picklewich, which features slices of Jimmy John's premium turkey and provolone cheese sandwiched between two halves of a cucumber. The sandwich is also rounded off with chopped lettuce and tomatoes.

Each of these sandwich options comes with a signature bag of chips. The brand is bringing back its popular Pickle Jimmy Chips, which “add salty, sour, tasty and delicious pickle flavor to classic Jimmy Chips,” according to the press release.

The Picklewich officially launches at Jimmy John's on Monday, October 28th. However, the sandwich will only be available until November 14th, National Pickle Day.

Jimmy John's is also offering a special offer to reward members who receive 50 percent off the picklewich when they purchase any 20-inch sandwich on November 3, National Sandwich Day.

Aside from The Picklewich offer, starting November 3rd, Rewards members can create a combo pack with any 8-inch sandwich order that includes a bag of Jimmy Chips and a drink for free. The offer is valid until the end of December and can only be used on orders received after 2 p.m.

The limited addition to Jimmy John's menu comes after another pickle sandwich went viral this summer and another such dish was served at the Seven Brothers Gourmet Food Market on Long Island.

The sandwich, first created in January, consists of deli meat, cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomato, all in two halves of a cucumber with the insides scooped out.

After a TikTok video of Gabby Palmisano (@gabbyparmesan) eating the sandwich went viral in May, people rushed to snag it at the Seven Brothers Gourmet Food Market.

“There are days when the lines outside are tangled,” said Stephanie Kemp, social media manager for Seven Brothers Today already in July. “So some days there could probably be 50, 60 people in line if they wait an hour or so.”
