Anthony Edwards makes NBA history, joining Steph Curry on another impressive list

Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards is off to a great start to the 2024-25 NBA season. Entering Tuesday's game against the Dallas Mavericks, Edwards was averaging 27.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists.

Edwards scored 24 points in the first quarter against Dallas and is on pace to increase that scoring average. It was a very eventful start to the season for Edwards, who made exactly five three-pointers in each of his first three games in this game against Dallas.

Edwards made NBA history with six three-pointers in the first quarter alone on Tuesday.

This exclusive list included Edwards, Curry and Kemba Walker when it was only three games early in a season, but qualifying for the fourth game reduces the list to just Curry and Edwards.

Edwards and Curry played together on Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics and went undefeated throughout the tournament to win a gold medal. Now Curry and Edwards are opponents again in the highly competitive Western Conference and stand alone on an exclusive statistical list.
