Alix Earle and Olivia Dunne are on Forbes' Top Creators of 2024 list

Alix Earle and Olivia Dunne have secured their spots on Forbes' annual Top Creators list for 2024, joining an elite group of influencers who have made a significant impact in social media, entertainment and business.

Earle, who turns 24 in December, started out as a TikTok sensation and gained popularity for her messy, chatty “get ready with me” videos, candid conversations about acne, and relatable college student content. She is now a full-blown mainstream celebrity, starring in major modeling campaigns, being touted as the face of various brands, traveling around the world in and successfully hosting fashion month Hot mess Podcast.

The New Jersey native has managed to captivate millions (3.7 on Instagram and 7.1 on TikTok, to be exact) with her authentic views on beauty, lifestyle, and personal growth. The eldest of four siblings made history with SI Swimsuit as the cover star of the brand's first digital issue in June.

Meanwhile, Dunne, the 2024 NCAA women's gymnastics champion and social media powerhouse, has continued to grow her fan base while balancing a rigorous schedule at Louisiana State University and a lucrative series of brand partnerships. The two-time SI Swimsuit model, who practically revolutionized the internet with her debut last year and did it again with her 2024 rookie feature in the magazine, is the highest-paid college athlete in the country. The 22-year-old has made a name for herself as one of the most visible college athletes and ambassador for women in sports, using her platform to make her voice heard on issues such as gender equality and mental health in elite sports.

Both women are committed to giving back to young students and creatives through their respective Livvy Fund and the University of Miami Alix Earle Scholarship. They've also tapped into the WAG realm, as Dunne is dating MLB star Paul Skenes and Earle is dating Miami Dolphins player Braxton Berrios.

The Top Creators list recognizes the individuals who have set new trends, redefined what it means to be an influencer, and used their platforms in groundbreaking ways. Both Dunne and Earle illustrate the modern power of social media in shaping careers and influencing culture, and prove how authenticity and transparency are key to building a personal brand. It is estimated that the 50 people named on this year's list have collectively earned nearly $720 million and have a combined total of more than 2.75 billion followers.

“This year’s list shows that the creator economy is growing—and maturing—rapidly,” Steven Bertoni, deputy editor in chief at Forbessaid. “Creatives use their social influence to evolve from entertainers to entrepreneurs and build their own brands. Others continue to transition from phone screens to mainstream media. And in an industry once based on selfies, many streaming studios are building. The ecosystem will only get bigger and more powerful.”
