It's time for basketball: Spurs vs. Rockets

Welcome to the game thread. Veterans of the game thread know how we operate here, but for anyone new, we have a few rules. Our Community Guidelines Apply and basically say: Be cool, no personal attacks, don't troll, and don't curse too much.

It seems like just a few days ago the Spurs were playing the Rockets at Frost Bank Center…

Wait, it WAS only two days ago. The Spurs held the Rockets scoreless for nine minutes in the second quarter and led by 22 minutes before winning 109-106 in front of an appreciative home crowd in their first home game of the season. It's largely the same in the second home game, except the Spurs won't have the advantage of playing a team for the second night in a row because the Rockets have been sleeping on couches at Frost Bank Center the last two days.

The Rockets will look to replicate the raw, physical play of the second half on Sunday in which they nearly erased the deficit, and the Silver and Black will have to adapt and be just as tough as the visitors. The Spurs need to take advantage of the aggressive defense and keep running the ball to the open player to score points easily. They also have to contain Jalen Green, who found his path to the basket open for much of the second half.

Match prediction:

Dillon Brooks tries to show disrespect to Victor by eating a sandwich while defending Wembanyama, but is labeled a technical for bringing food onto the pitch.

A final word:

Go Spurs GOOOOOO!!
