These days, more and more women are refusing to accept that their “best years” are behind them – and for good reason. Whether it's getting into the best shape of your life in your 60s, prioritizing your health in your later years, or feeling more confident in your style and personality, women over 50 find happiness more easily – and also more successful than when they were in their 20s or 30s.

To MSNBC's Morning Joe Talk show host and creator of “Know Your Value.” Mika Brzezinski57, that's no surprise. In fact, she can identify a certain trait that all successful women over 50 have in common.

“You know the term 'zero, do you know?'? Okay, that’s a real state of being,” laughs Brzezinksi. “I have to tell you, we all share that. We don’t let insecurities hold us back – we don’t have them, we just don’t have them. Women over 50 don't have things on their minds that interfere with their focus on the goal.”

Brzezinski experienced this firsthand.

“This happened to me in my 50s – I realized how lucky I was and how much I didn't care what other people thought,” she says exclusively parade. “Things that used to bother me, like really cruel tweets or articles about me or something like that, it was like the perspective of the things that normally get me down went from 10 to zero in terms of how much space it takes up in my head .”

She is not alone with this observation.

“I know many women who have expressed that one of the reasons they feel so confident during these years and decades is because they Are “They’re confident,” she continues. “Because they don’t allow themselves to be disturbed and worn down by things that can sometimes be very distracting.”

This doesn't mean that women over 50 magically avoid conflicts, challenges, or confrontations. It just means they have a healthier perspective on how to handle these clashes.

“I mean, we have problems like other women, but there's just a lot of stupid stuff in our brains that gets washed away and replaced with the question, 'What's the problem, how can I help you?' What's the problem, how can I?' “Solve it?'” Brzezinski says Parade. “We are focused.”

This attitude not only benefits each individual, but also helps pave the way for future leaders.

“We are very focused, we are very capable and the data proves that we are making more money, spending more money and that we are becoming an incredible, powerful generation of women who are sending a powerful message.” to inform young women that what is possible for them,” explains Brzezinski.
